Sprouts Farmers Market Set to Open 24 New Stores. See Where

Sprouts Farmers Market continues to grow, and a new store could soon be opening near you.

The Arizona-based grocery chain opened its first location in Chandler, Arizona, in 2002 and currently operates more than 480 stores across 25 states, according to the company’s website. Sprouts focuses on fresh, natural and organic foods and also offers ready-to-eat lunch options such as sushi, deli sandwiches and wellness bowls.

The company told USA TODAY it is on track to open 42 new stores in 2026, with 24 of those openings coming between now and the end of the year. That follows 37 new Sprouts locations that opened in 2025. The chain opened its first New York store earlier this year, on Long Island, and plans to open a second one in September.

The Hartsdale, New York, location, scheduled to open Sept. 4, will be the chain’s 500th location, the company told USA TODAY.
