These Kid Rock videos of an Apache helicopter hovering around his Nashville home have triggered an Army investigation

News RoomBy News RoomMarch 30, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

The US Army is investigating after videos showing at least one Apache attack helicopter hovering outside musician Kid Rock’s home in Nashville were posted over the weekend.

“The Army is aware of a video circulating online that appears to show AH‑64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence in the Nashville area,” Army spokesman Maj. Montrell Russell said in a statement to Business Insider.

“Army aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations,” the statement continued. “An administrative review is underway to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements. Appropriate action will be taken if any violations are found.”

This is a level of respect that shit for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her. 🇺🇸 🙏 pic.twitter.com/iD5mmkaXv1

One video, which Kid Rock posted to his X account on Saturday, shows a helicopter maneuvering to face a man who appears to be the musician as he claps and salutes beside a replica of the Statue of Liberty on his pool deck.

A second video shows another helicopter zipping past in the background. The videos show a sign that says “The Southern White House,” a nickname for the artist’s Nashville estate.

It was not immediately clear what the helicopters were doing at the time of the video.

Army aviators are required to log regular flight hours to maintain proficiency, and training missions often include low-altitude maneuvering and navigation in civilian airspace. Such flights do not normally include interaction with private civilians.

The aircraft originated from Fort Campbell, Kentucky’s 101st Airborne Division, according to military news site Task & Purpose, a major Army base around 60 miles northwest of Nashville.

The AH-64 Apache is an attack helicopter equipped with a chain gun and can carry both Hellfire missiles and Hydra 70 rockets. These well-known helicopters have been flying since the 1970s.

Business Insider reached out to Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

A strong supporter of President Donald Trump, Kid Rock has appeared in social media videos posted by Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Last month, for instance, he was featured in a patriotic montage of the two men working out and in a sauna.

His recent posts featuring the helicopters praised the US military while also directing insults at California’s governor.
