Tinder’s West Hollywood headquarters was covered in balloons.
I toured the office on a Friday, a day when most Tinder employees don’t work in person. It was also the day after the company’s product conference, Tinder Sparks. The balloon arches and leftover juice bottles celebrated the occasion.
The office is new to some staff, but it’s a homecoming for the company. Tinder was built here at the West Sunset Boulevard location. It then moved across the street, but is now returning to its roots.

The office’s focal point is a stairway decked out with the company’s brands. They also include emerging and evergreen categories, which include apps like Archer and OkCupid.
The remnants of Tinder’s big celebration were everywhere.
Tinder advertised its company happy hour with the mission statement: “Tinder is the most fun way to spark something new with someone new.”
Employees say it in unison at the beginning of company meetings.
Tinder’s office rooms are named after Los Angeles landmarks.
Some office rooms are called Melrose, La Brea, and Sepulveda. Others are named after Tinder themes, like Sparks.
Tinder’s CEO sits amongst the people.

Tinder has a “de-stress with Legos” station in the office, for the employees who’d rather spend some time building with bricks than lines of code.

There are seaweed snacks, protein bars, and Pringles. Want something sweet? Tinder has full-size candy bars.
The fridge is stocked with drinks and yogurts.
Tinder has seltzers, sodas, and Celsius energy drinks. Off to the side, there’s also a coffee bar with syrups like Pumpkin Spice.
For an after-work drink, Tinder’s got it on tap.
Tinder has beer, wine, and Truly hard seltzers on tap.
You can get your coffee outside, too.
Come sip on your espresso while soaking up the sun.
Engineers can write their code in the sun.
There are lots of outside seating options. In case you forgot that you’re in Los Angeles, the seats are surrounded by billboards for new TV shows.
