Get Free Food, Deals at Burger King, More

News RoomBy News RoomMay 27, 20262 ViewsNo Comments

Any day is a good day for a hamburger, but on Thursday, May 28, which is National Hamburger Day, you can get a deal on one.

Hamburgers are among Americans’ favorite foods and often come paired with another favorite, French fries. Fries have the top spot in YouGov’s The Most Popular American Dishes poll. Hamburgers come in fourth, behind Grilled Cheese and Cheeseburger.

Consumers spent $115 billion at U.S. burger chains in 2025, according to Kevin Schimpf, senior director of industry research for Technomic. Burger chains account for 20% of all consumer spending at chain restaurants annually, he said.

You can, of course, fry or grill your own burgers at home. But many like to get them at the drive-thru or in a restaurant. Here are some spots with deals.

Burger King’s National Hamburger Day Deal

To celebrate National Hamburger Day on Thursday, May 28, members of Burger King’s Royal Perks loyalty program can get a free hamburger with any purchase of $3 or more at participating Burger King restaurants nationwide, when they use the BK app or bk.com. Royal Perks members can also get four months of Spotify Premium for free with a $10 purchase. The offer is good for Royal Perks members who have opted in to get emails and are new Spotify Premium users (good for Spotify individual plan only; offer ends June 13).

Past Spotify Premium users whose access ended more than 30 days ago and have not redeemed a Spotify welcome back offer in the last 24 months can get two months free. (Spotify monthly cost is $12.99 after the trial period.)

More National Hamburger Day Deals

  • Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar: The chain’s special for the month of May (it’s also National Hamburger Month) is the Smashadilla Burger — quesadilla buns, double-stacked taco-seasoned smash patties, Monterey Jack, pico de gallo, chipotle ranch dressing, crushed avocado, and red salsa.
