  • Smart glasses are gaining traction with Meta’s AI-powered eyewear, worn by CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Summer is here, and high-powered execs are dodging the rays with some expensive eyewear.

From classic Ray-Bans to more obscure choices, sunglasses are a must-have this season. They’re one of the accessories of choice for many business leaders descending on Sun Valley, Idaho, this week for the annual Allen & Co. conference.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was photographed wearing a $410 pair of Vuarnet glasses at the event on Tuesday.

During a summer event calendar packed with tennis tournaments, billionaire weddings, and more, these are the sunglasses CEOs and other business leaders are pairing with their looks.

Ray-Ban

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy arrived at Sun Valley in a more casual get-up than his polo-wearing peers. The Amazon CEO paired a graphic tee with a button-down shirt that he left open. For his eyewear, it looks like a classic pair of RB4379D Ray-Bans with a clear frame.

Price: $176

Disney CEO Bob Iger opted for a more vintage look, donning Ray-Ban aviators at Sun Valley.

Price for a similar pair: $202

Mark Zuckerberg’s smart glasses

On many occasions — both casual and formal — Mark Zuckerberg has sported his own company’s AI-powered Meta smart glasses made in partnership with Ray-Ban.

Price: up to $379
