As a busy competitive swimmer who always needs his protein fix, I prioritize nutritious, filling meals that are easy to make.
Luckily, Costco has so many great high-protein meal items that are perfect for athletes like myself.
Here are seven products that always make it into my cart.
The West End Cuisine chicken skewers are a great source of protein.
These delicious West End Cuisine grilled-chicken skewers are an excellent snack or lunch option, and are a favorite of mine.
They’re packed with 24 grams of protein and are gluten- and preservative-free. Plus, the Mediterranean seasoning adds so much amazing flavor.
I love that they never leave me too full for my next swim practice, so I can quickly snack on one before I hop in the pool.
I quickly fell in love with the Kirkland Signature stuffed salmon.
Growing up, I was never big on fish, but this delicious stuffed salmon with imitation crabmeat has completely changed my tune. Both my mom and I love having this for dinner after the gym.
I like to pair a filet with fresh vegetables or rice for a hearty, nutritious meal.
I can’t get enough of the Kirkland Signature stuffed peppers.
Without a doubt, the Kirkland Signature stuffed peppers are my favorite product from Costco. The rich, savory beef, rice, and cheese filling pairs perfectly with the sweet, savory bell peppers.
These are the ideal post-swim or post-workout dinner, and I can even save some peppers for the next day’s lunch.
I think this is one of the best Costco meals out there for an unforgettable dinner.

Better yet, I can get multiple meals from one package.
I always grab multiple packages of ground beef.
My grandma, who moved in with my mom and I back in November, has become a big fan of grass-fed ground beef. She loves to cook, and she uses the Rastelli’s brand beef for delicious burgers, tacos, stir fry, and so many other family favorites.
We usually buy three or four packs at a time so that we always have some in the freezer.
The Kirkland Signature beef shank is another family favorite.
At least once a week, I grab a package of the Kirkland Signature beef shank for my grandma, which she uses to make an amazing dinner with potatoes and vegetables.
Sometimes, she even puts it in a slow cooker for an effortless meal with even more tender and flavorful beef.
Costco makes taco night easy with all the essentials.
When it’s taco night, I always reach for the Kirkland Signature chicken street-taco kit, which is loaded with plenty of protein.
I love that I can fill each tortilla with my favorite toppings and salsa. Sometimes, I even make some Mexican rice to have on the side.
