Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.03%, while the index climbed 0.31%, and the index lost 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 3.17% or 7.20 points to trade at 234.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) added 2.64% or 0.73 points to end at 28.36 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) was up 2.46% or 0.59 points to 24.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bayer AG NA (ETR:), which fell 2.85% or 0.81 points to trade at 27.59 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:) declined 2.00% or 0.58 points to end at 28.41 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was down 1.82% or 0.43 points to 23.25.
The top performers on the MDAX were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which rose 12.66% to 105.00, Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:) which was up 5.00% to settle at 36.54 and CTS Eventim AG (ETR:) which gained 4.83% to close at 84.60.
The worst performers were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 4.51% to 14.20 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.37% to settle at 9.19 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was down 4.32% to 2.08 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.18% to 58.90, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was up 3.16% to settle at 51.00 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which gained 2.84% to close at 23.53.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 4.37% to 9.19 in late trade, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.06% to settle at 27.38 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 2.69% to 92.35 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 361 to 250 and 40 ended unchanged.
Shares in Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 5.18% or 2.90 to 58.90.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.48% to 13.99.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.75% or 41.90 to $2,351.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.84% or 0.65 to hit $76.92 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.66% or 0.54 to trade at $81.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.82.
