Julia Hatoum, 24, has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware, where she was student body president and graduated with triple minors.
Hatoum now works as a transmission engineer, managing the maintenance of power grids across Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and Washington, DC. She is using her Miss USA platform to advocate for underrepresented students in STEM programs.
The pageant queen has walked at New York Fashion Week and the Library of Congress’ first-ever fashion show.
