There are more benefits to bulk shopping than savings and discounts at the register.
Many warehouse clubs offer members special benefits, and Sam’s Club is no exception.
Some perks vary depending on the member tier. Those with a Plus membership ($120 per year) get more perks than those with the basic Club membership ($60 per year). However, all members do have access to special free benefits. So let’s get into them.
1. Lifetime tire maintenance
Members who purchase their tires through Sam’s Club can get their tires balanced and rotated for free for the lifetime of the tire.
Members can also get free flat repairs regardless of whether they purchased or installed the tires at Sam’s Club.
2. Car battery installation
Sam’s Club members who purchase their car batteries through the warehouse club can get their old battery removed and the new one installed for free. They’ll also receive NOCO corrosion treatment at no extra cost.
3. Wiper blade installation
Sam’s Club sells wiper blades in various sizes. Members who purchase a pack get free installation at participating locations.
4. Returns
Return your items in-store completely free. If you’re returning an order you purchased online, you’ll be given a return label to print and attach to the package to send free of charge.
Shipping a return is only allowed if the item was purchased online, but an item purchased online can also be returned in-store.
5. Cash back
Sam’s Club Plus members earn 2% Sam’s Cash back on club purchases. There is a maximum of $750 Sam’s Cash per 12-month membership.
Sam’s Cash is redeemed monthly and put onto the membership card. It’s usable in-store, on mobile and most online purchases and for membership renewal fees. It’s even redeemable for cash.
Basic Club members may also earn Sam’s Cash if they have a Sam’s Club Mastercard.
6. Sam’s Cash bonus offers
Members can link eligible Mastercard or Visa cards to their Sam’s Club memberships and earn Sam’s Cash through Bonus Offers at participating merchants, including gas stations and restaurants.
Sam’s Club Plus members, however, can earn 20% more from bonus offers than standard Club members.
7. Curbside pickup
Club and Plus members can get free curbside pickup on orders.
To use curbside pickup, just select a date and time on the online checkout screen in the Sam’s Club app. When the time comes, park your car in a designated spot and check in. Then just sit in your car and wait for a team member to bring out your goods.
8. Shipping
Sam’s Club Plus members get free shipping on orders of at least $50 pre-tax. Club members can get free shipping on marked items but will otherwise pay standard shipping costs.
9. Delivery
Plus members can get free same-day or next-day home delivery on orders of at least $50.
Smaller orders can be delivered for $8. Express delivery — where available — arrives in hours and also costs an extra $10. For $5, Plus members can get delivery in three hours or less with no minimum order.
Delivery is only offered by Sam’s Club within a 15-mile radius of the nearest location. Delivery differs from shipping as it comes from a nearby store rather than being mailed from a distribution center.
