We don’t want to scrimp when it comes to celebrating mom, but we would be remiss if we miss out on a deal or a bargain.
Celebrations of Mother’s Day 2026, which is on Sunday, May 10, are expected to cost more this year, so getting a deal can lessen the impact on your budget.
Despite slumping consumer sentiment, spending on Mother’s Day is expected to hit a record $38 billion this year, up 11% from last year, according to the National Retail Federation.
As with past years, most U.S. adults (84%) plan to celebrate Mother’s Day and they expect to spend a record average of $284.25 on gifts, up 9% from last year, according to the survey, conducted for the group by data firm Prosper Insights & Analytics.
“Mother’s Day remains a priority for many Americans, and they plan to lean into the holiday despite current economic uncertainty,” NRF Chief Economist and Executive Director of Research Mark Mathews said.
The national observance, made official by President Woodrow Wilson in 1914, can be a time for gifts or to treat mom for a meal – so she’s not having to cook.
Here are some specials and discounts geared toward celebrating Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day 2026 Food Deals
Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme has launched a limited-time collection of mini doughnuts called Minis for Mom in honor of Mother’s Day.
The collection, available May 7-10 at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide, mixes two new mini doughnuts with two fan favorites, according to the chain. Customers get four of each in a 16-count box.
The flavors include:
- (New) Mini Strawberries & Creme Doughnut: A mini Original Glazed doughnut dipped in strawberry-flavored icing and topped with a vanilla buttercreme dollop.
- (New) Mini Heart of Gold Doughnut: A mini Original Glazed doughnut coated in vanilla icing and finished with a hand-piped heart.

- Mini Chocolate Iced Doughnut with Sprinkles
The collection is available in-shop and for pickup or delivery via Krispy Kreme’s app and website, individually and in the specialty 16-count box. Customers can also get the minis in an 8-pack delivered fresh daily to select grocery stores.
First Watch
During the week following Mother’s Day, moms can bring in a hand-drawn IOU coupon from a loved one to get a buy one entrée, get one free (in-restaurant only). Just show your coupon at the register.
Dunkin’
Customers can earn 3x points when ordering 6- or 12-count bulk donuts or 25- or 50-count Munchkins May 9-10 in honor of Mother’s Day.
Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut is offering its fan-favorite heart-shaped pizza to celebrate Mother’s Day this year. Available May 4-10, the Heart Shaped Pizza, usually reserved for Valentine’s Day, is a medium one-topping pizza and features Pizza Hut’s hand-tossed crust, with the option to add its new garlic-parm Hut Blend on the edges.
Wienerschnitzel
Wienerschnitzel is celebrating Mother’s Day with a free Chili Dog Meal for moms, complete with a chili dog, small fries and a small soda.
Outback Steakhouse
Outback Steakhouse is celebrating Mother’s Day with its Mum’s Day Menu, available May 6-10. The menu features favorites such as Filet Mignon & Lobster, the chain’s signature Down Under Trio and Gold Coast Coconut Shrimp, among other options. The menu is available for dine-in or to-go.
Outback is also running a gift card promotion April 20 through June 21 that allows customers to buy $50 worth of gift cards and get a $10 bonus card. From May 6-10, the chain is also offering a limited-time flash sale where guests will receive two $10 bonus cards with a $50 gift card purchase.
IHOP
IHOP is celebrating Mother’s Day with a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pancakes stack, featuring four chocolate chip pancakes topped with creamy cheesecake mousse, chocolate sauce, fresh strawberries, whipped topping and chocolate chips. Additionally, customers can get a $5 bonus card for every $25 gift card purchase.
Tim Hortons
Tim Hortons is celebrating Mother’s Day with a bouquet of 24 “long-stem” Timbits, wrapped with a satin bow and packed in a specialty box. Starting May 4 and while supplies last, customers can place a pre-order for a Timbits Bouquet starting at $12.99 from participating Tim Hortons restaurants or online. Orders can be picked up in-restaurant or delivered between May 8 and May 10.
Additionally, Tim Hortons has a special digital offer May 4-10, allowing Rewards Members to get a free donut with the purchase of another donut.
Arby’s
Arby’s is celebrating Mother’s Day with its latest Meat & 3 Box, which includes a choice of entrée, curly fries, mozzarella sticks, a peach cobbler and a drink for $7.99.
7 Brew
On Mother’s Day, customers can buy any two medium or large drinks and receive a free 7 Brewsie – a custom koozie designed to keep your drink cold all day.
Popeyes
From May 8-10, customers can get a free gallon beverage with the purchase of a Popeyes Family Meal (8-piece, 12-piece, or 16-piece of Signature Chicken or Tenders, or 18-piece Wing Group Pack). The offer includes lemonade, sweet tea, unsweet tea or fruit punch.
Raising Cane’s
Caniac Club members can get a free Box Combo with the purchase of another Box Combo on May 10 and 11. The offer will be loaded onto their Caniac Club account and can be redeemed by swiping their Caniac Club card, placing an online order, or scanning their QR code within the mobile app.

- Maple Street Biscuit Company: Moms who dine in on Mother’s Day will leave with a $5.10 bounce-back offer toward their next visit.
