Burger King customers who are unsatisfied with their Whopper can now get another one for free.
The fast food chain on July 20 announced the “Whopper Guarantee,” a new initiative aimed at ensuring customers are satisfied when ordering Burger King’s signature burger.
As part of the “Whopper Guarantee,” if a customer is not happy with their Whopper, they can get their next one for free in addition to having it remade on the spot, Burger King said in a press release.
Burger King also launched a “reimagined restaurant manager role” known as the “Your Way Champion.” They serve as a dedicated point person in an identifiable uniform who can resolve issues for guests, the chain said.
The new initiatives come amid Burger King’s push for increased guest feedback. In February, the company gave out President Tom Curtis’ phone number for guests to call or text him with input.
Here’s what to know about the “Whopper Guarantee” and how customers can get a free burger.
Unhappy With Your Whopper? Here’s How to Get a Free One
As part of its new “Whopper Guarantee,” Burger King customers who aren’t happy with their Whopper can get it remade, as well as getting another one for free.
To redeem the free Whopper, customers can simply scan a QR code inside their Whopper box. They will receive a unique six-digit code to redeem a classic Whopper, Burger King said.
Burger King said it launched the “Whopper Guarantee” and “Your Way Champion” initiatives after receiving consistent feedback from guests asking for someone in the restaurant who could quickly resolve issues when needed.
“When we asked Guests where we could do better, they gave us a lot of honest feedback, and now it’s our responsibility to act on it,” Curtis said in a statement.
Burger King Recently Upgraded the Whopper
The Whopper recently got an upgrade for the first time in a decade.
In February, Burger King announced it had revamped the burger with a “more premium, better tasting bun” and new mayo. It is still served with lettuce, pickles, onions and tomatoes as well.
It also unveiled a new box for the iconic burger, an attempt to resolve complaints about crushed burgers.
“Are you one of the people that’s been asking me about why your Whopper is getting smushed?” Curtis asked in a video posted on Instagram in February. “I think we have a solution for you.”
