With the continuing clamor over rising gas prices, here’s a timely deal: Circle K is cutting gas prices by 40 cents on Thursday, May 7.
Circle K, which has more than 5,000 convenience stores in 29 states, is giving customers up to 40 cents off each gallon of fuel on May 7 as part of its National Fuel Day event. You can get the discount from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time at participating locations. The discount is good on all fuel types.
Members of its Inner Circle loyalty program can get the deal sooner, starting Thursday at 12:01 a.m. and until 3 p.m. local time. The discount of up to 40 cents is in accordance with applicable state law. In Wisconsin, for example, customers can save up to $4.50 on a minimum purchase of 3 gallons, according to Circle K.
Another reason to become an Inner Circle member: The Fuel Your Summer Sweepstakes, which gives you a chance to win one of 250 Circle K gift cards — each worth $315 to help pay for your gasoline this summer. The events are part of Circle K’s celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday. Also part of the promotion are $2.50 budget car washes and $2.50 meal deals: a Roller Grill item paired with a Polar Pop or 7.5-ounce Coca-Cola brand beverage (both deals good all summer long).

The discount comes as the national average for a gallon of gas approaches $5.
Circle K has regularly offered 40-cent price reduction Fuel Day promotions throughout the year, including ahead of holidays such as Memorial Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving.

By joining the Inner Circle loyalty program, you have a larger window on May 7 to get the National Fuel Day deal. You can visit the Circle K website or download the Circle K app to create an account. You can also text JOIN to 25050 on your phone.
Ten percent of National Fuel Day profits on May 7 from 4–7 p.m. will be donated to the Children of the Fallen Patriots Foundation, a nonprofit providing college scholarships to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Customers can also donate in stores.
Customers’ in-store donations and PepsiCo’s donation aim to raise a combined maximum total of $250,000.
