Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.17% to hit a new all time high, while the index declined 1.00%, and the index lost 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the were Munich Reinsurance (ETR:), which rose 5.57% or 27.30 points to trade at 517.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) added 1.51% or 3.80 points to end at 255.60 and Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.36% or 1.18 points to 88.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which fell 2.48% or 0.79 points to trade at 31.04 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) declined 2.07% or 0.62 points to end at 29.28 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:) was down 2.06% or 0.42 points to 19.76.
The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 1.57% to 12.66, RTL Group SA (ETR:) which was up 1.30% to settle at 27.35 and Stroeer SE (ETR:) which gained 0.96% to close at 48.58.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which was down 9.52% to 10.08 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which lost 6.06% to settle at 150.30 and Befesa SA (ETR:) which was down 3.99% to 21.66 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which rose 0.84% to 119.40, PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which was up 0.72% to settle at 11.26 and Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 0.67% to close at 24.10.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which was down 9.52% to 10.08 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.89% to settle at 8.27 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 3.24% to 49.30 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 407 to 219 and 33 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.11% or 29.99 to $2,679.41 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.60% or 1.12 to hit $71.14 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.29% or 0.95 to trade at $74.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 106.72.
